Hoof Prints Trail Rides take you off the busy streets into the quiet wilderness of over 5000 acres of trails in the Wicomico Forest.
Whether you are an experienced horse person or a novice get ready for great fun with the Eastern Shore’s most personalized horse activities.

Our beautiful riding trails are open all year-round. Every season has its' own unique beauty to discover!

At Hoof Prints you’ll find warm-hearted attention, patient, clear instruction, willing horses for all levels and incredible beauty out on the trail.
We cater to those Eastern Shore residents and visitors who come for a fun time.
Come out and saddle up with Hoof Prints - located just 20 minutes from Ocean City and Assateague Island National Seashore.

For the little ones not quite ready for trail riding we provide a ‘Pony Ride Area’ perfectly suited to get the little ones started!
Riding instruction is available for those wishing to gain helpful tips for a more enjoyable, safer trail ride.


Whether you’re an old hand or meeting horses for the very first time you’re sure to take home exciting, adventure-filled memories for a lifetime!
Individual attention at the beginning of the ride assures that each rider is properly outfitted and starts out on the right hoof!


2010 Rates and Riding Schedule

Trail rides go out Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings and afternoons.
Our rides are custom for you, your family or party.You will not be riding with strangers.
All our rides begin by grooming and saddling your horse.
After mounting you'll take some time to practice your skills in the arena before heading out onto the trails.
For a 2 hr. ride expect to be on-site for at least 2.5-3 hours.
Children must be at least 10 years old to ride out on 2-hr trail rides.

2 hour trail rides $50/rider
Half-day trail rides (4 hours includes lite lunch) $100/rider

1 hour group or individual lesson (ages 2-12) $35/rider

We reserve the right to determine suitability of rider for trail conditions and rider’s expertise.
Riders must meet appropriate height and weight ratios.
Long pants, socks, and closed shoes are required; riding helmets are required and provided at no cost.
Bottled water is recommended and don't forget to bring your camera!
Please bring apples and/or carrots to treat your horse after the ride.
